To provide our services, we use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect to your financial institution. By using our service, you acknowledge and agree that your data will be treated in accordance with Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy.

Through Plaid, we may access the following data from your Wells Fargo or other financial accounts:

  • Account Information: Account names, types, and balances.

  • Transaction History: Transaction amounts, dates, payees, and categories.

  • Identity Information: Account holder name and masked account/routing numbers (where provided).

How We Use Your Data

We use the data collected for the following purposes:

  • To provide a unified dashboard of your personal net worth.
  • To categorize spending and provide financial insights.
  • To maintain and improve the technical functionality of the application. We do not sell your personal or financial data to any third parties.

Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
  • Credential Privacy: We never see or store your bank login credentials (username/password). These are handled exclusively by Plaid and your financial institution via secure OAuth tunnels.
  • Access Tokens: Plaid access tokens are stored securely in a private backend database and are never exposed to the client-side of the application.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your financial data only as long as your account is active. If you choose to disconnect your bank account or delete your Craig Home Finance account, we will purge all associated financial records from our database within 30 days.

Your Rights and Choices

You may revoke our access to your financial data at any time by:

  • Disconnecting your account within the application settings.
  • Managing your connections via the Plaid Portal.
  • Contacting us at jamespcraig@gmail.com to request a full data deletion.
